Dear Parents and Teachers,

There will be another letter later this week about the new rental policy. Please be aware of it.

1. As scheduled, we will have NO school on April 11 (Spring break). School will resume on April 18, 2009.

As a reminder, on April 18, 2009, we will hold elections for the HX Chinese School principal and board members.

2. HX Field & Track Game. The HX F&T game will take place on Sunday, May 3, 2009, at East Brunswick High School, 380 Cranbury Rd, East Brunswick, NJ 08816. The game starts around 9:00am and finishes at 4:00pm.

Because there are not classes this Saturday and the deadline for the HX Field & Track is April 18, we urge you to fill the registration form (open the form, click the A write tool, then write at the proper position) and send back to Mr. Zhang Yuan Zheng via email at yuanzheng_z@yahoo.com. We encourage you and your kids to participate in this event. The PA will sponsor the registration fee. The registration form is attached. The PA will also order T-shirt for all athletes. Please indicate the size you wish to receive. A $5 fee will be charged. Please also tell the PA what lunch you wish to have on that day. The lunch will cost $5.

3. Montgomery Township School District “Budget Talk Live” talk show.

We would like to invite you to join our studio audience on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 for the first ever Montgomery Township School District “Budget Talk Live” talk show. Mr. Earl Kim, Superintendent of Schools, and Mr. Dave Pettit, President of the MTSD Board of Education, will be there to answer community members’ questions regarding the 2009-2010 budget. The program will start at 1 pm and will be taped so that it can be viewed on Channel 14 by the community at large starting at 7 pm that evening. We will also be making the show available via a podcast on our district website for community members who do not have access to Channel 14.

Please meet us in the MHS TV studio at 12:45 pm with your questions in hand. In order to help us accommodate all audience members please RSVP to lbenz@mtsd.us. 4. Volunteers are needed for the International Night 5/8 at OHES. This year, International Night is scheduled for May 8th. One of the organizers, Mrs. Jennifer Haftel asked to find two to three volunteers to help her with registration between 6pm and 8pm. I encourage these parents who have kids in OHES support the event be one of the volunteers. Please let me know if you like to participate in the event.

5. Chinese visa service

Our teacher, Liu May, will provide a Visa Application service on May 16, 2009 from 1:30PM to 4:30PM. See the 3 attachments for details. If you have any question please feel free to call her at 609-688-9325 or e-mail at mayl_@hotmail.com.

6. Because school was closed on March 28, 2009 due to district conflicts, we will have class June 13, 2009.
