2009/2010 News Letter-3

Dear Parents,

The opening day of school last week was very successful. I would like to thank you for your support and cooperation. The admin team, teachers and volunteers worked very hard to execute the walk-in registration, book distribution and class room organization in an orderly fashion. So far, we have about 360 students registered for Chinese classes.

This year, we have two new dance teachers, Ms. Nanjuan Pei and Miss. WenWei Hu, join HuaXia Chinese School at Montgomery. Ms. Pei has been teaching dance for many years. She was the leading role in several campus level dancing performances and the second prize in No. 12 High school dance competition in China. Miss Hu is an excellent dancer and won the first prize in the Bejing teen dancing competition this summer. Please join me to welcome these two new teachers.

In addition, Mr. Zhou XinLai, a Bejing Opera actor, will offer the children’s class and adult class in our school. Please find the course description attached(BegingOPeraCourseInro.doc).

Please pay an attention to the following this week:

1) Please come to school on time and pay extra attention to the traffic when you drop

your child off.

2) Culture classes start this week.

3) The walk-in registration is in room B116

4) Parent Association will have a moon cake sale in the Lobby.

5) Ticket sale for the Chinese cultural gala in the art center of MHS
