Dear Parents and Teachers,
Happy New Year!!!
1. Welcome back to school. After a long winter break, this
Saturday 1/5 is the first class of Year 2008 and is the
continuation of the full semester. The start date of
spring semester is on 1/26/2008.
2. We will have our school 2008 Chinese New Year
Cerebration Party on
Saturday, February 2, 2008. It starts at 3:30 PM. Please
see attachment “2008 new year party.ppt”. All classes
(Chinese and Culture) are cancelled on that day. This
party consists of our school students’ performance and
some outside performers. I encourage all parents bring
their kids to see the performance. The adult ticket is the
same price as the student’s, $5. We will prepare a gift
for each student who has a student ticket.
3. As I announced on last email, the “Chinese Culture
Contest” will be held at our school at 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM
on January 19, 2008. The registration deadline is this
Saturday 1/5/2008. I encourage our students to
participate. Parents, please help your kids fill out the
attached form and hand in the forms to their home room
teacher on Saturday. Also, the 300 preparation questions &
answers are attached.
