Parents and Teachers,
1. Donation Status.
I am so impressed by our parents, teachers, students, and
other donors’ contributions. Everyone expressed their love
and sympathy in different ways to the victims of the
earthquake. Look at the donation number below. After the
two weeks donation campaign, we have received total
donation: $23,358.15 (Checks - $22,219.26, Cash -
$1,138.89).

This Saturday is the last day of collecting the donation.
If you have not donated yet, please make the check and
drop to the donation box this Saturday. After that, we
will deliver the donation to the HXHQ. Then the HXHQ will
contact Chinese Consulate in NY to discuss how apply the
HX fund to rebuild a school at the earthquake area. We
will keep you posted how the fund will be used.
The donation receipts are ready for you. Please come to
school office to find yours. For these non Chinese school
families, we will mail the receipt to your address later.
2. School Facility Rental increase Issue.
Some of you may already know that our school
administration team has been informed by Montgomery BOE
that our facility rental fee for 2008-2009 school year
will increase significantly.
We are very disappointed by this news. However, please
rest assured that we are exploring all options to ensure
that our school's interests are protected. We will keep
you posted as it progresses.
3. This Saturday is the last day of school.
During the first session
have the final examination and some classes have special
activities organized by the class teachers. Before

4. The next school year 2008-2009 online registration is
ready on
With the Board approval, the regular Chinese Class tuition
and registration rules have changed. New school calendar
is published. Please check the website wwww.hxcsmg.org
for
details. We eliminate the late fee. We provide a discount
$30 off each student’s class tuition if you registered the
Chinese classes online on or before
5. The results of the Chinese Culture Contest were
arrived. See attached files - branch-award-list.doc (for

CultureAwardNotes.doc (for all schools). Congratulations
to all of them.
