Dear Parents and Teachers,

School will resume on May 31 and the online registration
for 2008-09 will start on the same day.

As mentioned last week’s message, we had a very successful
donation campaign for the victims of the Earthquake in
China. Since then, I have received more donation checks
and emails indicating others will bring their donations
this week. In the first week donation, we have received a
total of $14,346.26. The donation will continue on this
Saturday May 31, and June 7 – the last day of school.

The last week’s donation receipts are ready for you.
Please come to school office to find yours. For these non
Chinese school families, we will mail the receipt to your
address later.

I like to express my great appreciations to the following
high school students – Lily Wang, Waseem Mohiuddin,
Michelle Liu and Eileen Shao. All of them are Montgomery
High School
students. By reading their words below and
seeing their actions, I believe all of you will have the
same feeling as mine that they did a great and heartfelt
job. They are role models. I am very happy to see our
communities’ children do this kind action.

Dear Mr. Hu and other school officials,
This is Lily Wang and my friends, Waseem Mohiuddin,
Michelle Liu and Eileen Shao and I went to Stop and Shop
to raise money for the earthquake that had occurred in
SiChuan, China. It was such tragedy and we felt that we
should take part in helping the victims of the earthquake
recover. We raised $194.89 and will bring it to the
Chinese school the coming Saturday.
Sincerely,
Lily Wang

I believe all of us are devastated every time we see news
or pictures of the Earthquake. Whole China is crying. Our
heart is tied with the people in Sichuan. What we can do
now is provide financial contribution to help and support
them, and express our consolidations to them. You can see
it is happened based on the donation we had last time.
Many students/kids brought their own allowances to their
teachers. Someone asked their parents for money, and then
gave to teachers. Some parents educated their kids about
the Earthquake and asked them bring money to teachers.
Some parents dropped the donation in front of their kids.
We had several non school families either came to school
drop their donations or let our school members bring it to
school. I am really impressed by our lovely families. We
are great nation and great people.

2. HX Edison branch will host a donation concert on June 1
for the victims of the earthquake. See attached

victims of the earthquake.
