4. Flu Shots: Dr. Hou will provide the Flu Shots  service this Saturday Nov. 1, 2008 at our school. Dr. Hou stated:

It's Flu season! According to the U.S. Central Disease Control (CDC), people recommended for vaccination during the 2008-09 flu season are:

Children aged 6 months up to their 19th birthday

Pregnant women

People 50 years of age and older

People of any age with certain chronic medical conditions

The flu shots have helped the general population, especially the youth and elderly to preventing the flu and flu related complications

We understand most our parents are too busy to make an appointment for their children's flu shots; therefore we would like to work with HuaXia Hillsborough Chinese School to provide a flu vaccine service to our Chinese school students and their family on Saturday November 1, 2008 tentatively. Any one who meets CDC recommendations (Please go to WWW.CDC.GOV for details) should get shot. If you have PPO insurance or HMO with Dr. Hou as PCP, you are covered by insurance (co-pay applied per insurance plan, please bring your insurance card), if not; you can pay $30 for the shot.
